Tyssedal, Hardangervidda, Hallingskarvet Nasjonalpark, Utne

I did a long trip today. It took me around 11 hours to do this almost roundtrip. Tonight I sleep 34 km. north of Tyssedal where I spent the night yesterday. In between I travelled around, see the map (kaart in Dutch).   
I drove up to Eidfjord. That was kind of a touristtrap. Souvenirshops and so on, because of the cruiseships that have a stop there.
Just after Eidfjord is a little town calle Øvre Eidfjord. There is the Hardangervidda Natursenter. Very nice exhibition and an incredible movie. You felt like sitting on a drone and fly through the fjords, above the waterfalls, lakes, glaciers. Very well done, the best I ever saw and experienced. You really felt like diving, climbing while sitting in a helicopter or on a drone. Because there were very small places where a helicopter can't fly.

Then I drove to Vøringfossen. Beautiful falls. I already started climbing from 60 meters above sealevel. At the Hardangervidda it Goes up to about 1260 m. Above 1100 meters there are no trees anymore. Very beautiful, some snow every now and then on places in the shadow.

After the Hardangervidda I drove to Hallingkarvet Nasjonalpark. The weather cleared up. Yes, top,down! That's why I want my own car. As expected because of the sun it's even more beautiful. Stunning views. Around 19.00 I was at the ferry to cross the fjord to Utne. It's on an island. My guesthouse is next to the quay where the ferry arrived. See pictures. This guesthouse is also an artgallery, people are painting here, the whole evenung a guy sat in a separate room playing guitar and singing. Another guy joined him and they recorded something together as far as I could see. Not a real studio, just young artists with basic equipment.

The room is small, the views are stunning. Hope for some sunshine tomorrow again, but it seems that it will be grey all week.
