Geilo - Vrådal

The day started much better than it ended. 
The sun was there again, still pretty high in Hardangervidda National Park, so temperature around 10 am only 11 degrees. But top down and driving.
I had a very scenic drive. Not as spectacular as the more western part of Norway. But still very beautiful. There are 28 Stave Churches left in Norway, in earlier days there were more than 1000. And my drive came along 5 of them. I have to say, very special. The last one, Heddal Stave Kirke was the biggest and most beautiful.

I came in the village of Vrådal where my apartment should be. GPS didn't know this location so I used the booking.com app and clicked on location. The app started Google Maps on my phone. I needed to go 3 kilometers out of the village. Went there, saw a lot apartmentbuildings. A sign which said reception and ... No reception to be found. Drove around and came to another place, with a parking little higher up. So i drove up and thought there was a way down at the other end. Looking to the right to look for signs on the buildings saying information or reception. Boom, drove of a little wall. There was no proper way down as you see on the picture. And this way it's not the right way

I called the hotel, manager came to me. It seemed that already 3 years ago the reception was at the hotel in the village and my apartment was 800 meters from there. So I was at the wrong site anyway. He called carrescue, I called insurancecompany. After a couple of hours carrescue did his job, car to garage and I drove with the hotelmanager to the apartment.

One of the smart guys from carrescue told me: you drove too slow! With more speed you should have landed on the gridpath. Noone ever told me that I drove too slow. Will tell the police in the Netherlands that it is just smarter to drive fast , maybe I get some discount on speedingtickets

Well nothing to do till tomorrow, so I ate something, canceled my booking for the nest night, because I have to stay here to see if my car can be fixed and went asleep.
