August 23rd, perfect day in Tofino kayaking and bears

Last night I booked some tours.
Starting with breakfast and then another kayaktrip, this time with a guide. Going around some islands, she told about the first Nation people living there already for 4000-5000 years, about the rainforest, the wildlife. Very interesting. We did a great trip.

Lunchtime after that. Then I went to one of the beautiful sandy beaches. Not too much waves today. Normally it's a great spot for surfing. Now only a few surfers there, not the spectacular you normally see there.

Then it was time to check in for the zodiac tour, trying to watch some bears .... And we did!
Saw about 5 bears very close and some more from a distance. Also an eagles nest in a tree, impressive how big it is! And an eagle came flying above us. Check the picture, enlarge it! I wasn't able to do it right now.

A real great day! I want to go back here and spend at least 4 days in this area!
