August 7 th - Goirle - Calgary

On the 7th Jos and I left Goirle. Plan was to go to Breda and then by train to Schiphol Airport. Well, we went to Breda, Silvie and Job took us there. We took our stuff,including the bike of Jos in a huge box and went into the trainstation after saying goodbye to our chauffeurs (we needed 2 cars because of the big box).

5 minutes later all direct trains to Schiphol were canceled and we called the 2 to come back to Breda and bring us to Schiphol. thanks a million guys!

Wrong start, but in time on Schiphol, had breakfast and boarding the plane to Calagary.

Arrival there, got our car. I should be a midsize SUV, but when they saw the big box we got a free upgrade to a minivan (Dodge Grand Caravan).

The bike was with us because Jos is going to bike from Canmore (Banff National Park Canada) to Antelope Wells (New Mexico, USA). The trip is called the great divide and it's crossing the continental divide 20 times during the trip. Check http://www.the-great-divide.com for details. He leaves the 14th and if all goes well he arrives at the 4th of October.

Checked in at the hotel and had a walk downtown Calgary and dinner.
