August 24th, going back to Vancouver

Early drive, highway 4 opened at 7.00, roadworks going on there, so I didn't want to be in a trafficjam. So at 6.20 I started to drive and at 6.50 I was at the construction area and at 7.10 I could go on.
The drive went smooth, nice weather, great views. And already around 11.30 I was at Swartz Bay. Decided to have an early lunch in Sidney at the Pier Restaurant. Again a lunch with a view.
NIce crossing with a guy on the deck who was talking about wildlife, life in the oceaan and polution. Especially for the kids he showed how fish, whales and other animals in the sea could confuse plastic with for example jellyfish. He had plastic in bottles which really looked like jellyfish, and some animals would eat it. Perfectly done, an eye opener to everyone. We really need to decrease the polution.
Late afternoon , arrival downtown Vancouver to my great host Isaac. He played some guitar. Needed to go for a birthdaydinner. Now at his balcony, writing this. He just came in, so ending now. Tomorrow flight back to Amsterdam and backte work.
